Call for Applications: Zimba Women Mentorship Program 2020

Application deadline; February 10th 2020

About!
Every year, Zimba Women runs a year-long mentorship program that kick starts in March. The program aims to provide advice, leadership tips, and tools for young women to live purposeful and well-rounded lives.
“We’re here for a reason. I believe a bit of the reason is to throw little torches out to lead people through the dark.” Whoopi Goldberg

Through sharing experiences, successful women and ambitious girls, have an opportunity to deliver a potentially life-changing experience for both mentor and mentee.

What to expect
Technology will be used to aid in building bonds between mentors and mentees who are not in the same geographical area.  Over the course of the year, the two become invested in each other’s success and merge their talents to make inimitable strides together.

The Zimba Women dedicated team is on hand to provide support and resources throughout the mentoring relationship. The program places emphasis on leadership, personal, emotional and professional development as well as advice on cultivating positive attitudes and building self-confidence.

The benefits.
Mentorship provides a platform for mutual learning for both mentor and mentee. It allows participants to develop strategies for dealing with personal and career issues and establish a sense of direction that will help them far beyond the program.

From improved management and leadership skills to offering valuable insight into our different life interests. Mentorship plays a huge role in helping women and girls overcome barriers they face and accelerate strides they are already making.
By building their digital literacy and skills, women are in a better position to participate in political and business-related decision-making processes.
